Our Dragon Boat club was founded in 2008. Since then, the team has paddled on the Waitara River and competed in regattas with passion, commitment and team spirit.
Dragon Boating is an exciting sport to participate in. You have the opportunity to paddle in Dragon Boat Regattas locally, nationally and internationally, in both Standard Boats (20-man) and Small Boats (10-man). Our coach is busy planning our training programme. Not keen on the paddle part, then come and learn to sweep (steer the boat). We have a sweep training weekend coming up in December.
We welcome new paddlers, who must be 12 years old or over. Previous experience is not required -all are welcome to join us on our paddling journey. We want to enter a mixed team in this season's regattas. Come along and be part of an exciting growing sport.
